Spooked again!

Geez, now I'm all freaked out again. While I wasn't needed for rehearsal tonight - we're rehearsing out on my back deck - I was doing some hedge trimming and on one of my last trips to dump branches out behind the fenced area I saw a body on the ground. Or thought I did, but after last night and well, okay in general, I was too scared to go check it out in the dark and yeah, it was about 9:15 and really dark.

So I grabbed the guy who's our Assistant Director and very tall and said I thought I saw someone back there and would he come check it out with me. And he was like, "Uh... you think there's someone *back* there? Seriously?" Very skeptical, till he got back there. And the body was no longer laying down but up against the fence and when I said, "Hey what are you doing here?" THREE voices answered! And there were three older kids hiding back there.

I asked them what they were doing and they said "Playing ManHunt" and I asked them not to play in my backyard and they said okay and grudgingly moved on, but... Yikes

And as I said to our AD, if last night hadn't happened I wouldn't be feeling nearly as spooked, but right now... Both my outside lights are on and I'm feeling rather vulnerable. I hate feeling that way.

Oi. I may not be happy when I get woken up in the middle of the night, but at least I know what (or who) is banging against my wall, and that it's not a threat to my welfare. Hopefully these kids will find somewhere else to hang out, for your sanity's sake.

Any thoughts of reporting that to the police just so they know what's going on in the neighborhood if they get other calls/complaints? Maybe that's overreacting, but I think I would be freaking out!

Well, I did call for the first instance, but the second was clearly kids and they were polite and did move on when I asked them to and technically, because it's a condo, it's not even 'my' land back there, so...

But yeah, definitel some freakage going on.
