Had a lovely Christmas which was even semi-stress free. Which is a true miracle in my family.
Headed over to my parents about 5 Friday night, helped my dad set out luminaries (Er, well, mom sent him out early because she figured I wouldn't get there in time since I was only 20 minutes early, so I just helped get them lit. This is my mom.) Went to Mass at 7 where my sister and the three nieces sang with the contemporary choir my sister runs. Then back to the 'rents with the two sisters and three nieces who are on this side of the nation for a late dinner and fun. The nieces were relatively calm and therefore lots of fun. Sister #2 and #4 (#3 is in California) took the nieces and headed home and mom crashed while dad and I watched parts of the Criminal Minds marathon and the ST:TNG marathon (he's an incorrigible channel flipper). As usual I spent the night at my parents.
The next day the parents and I headed to my sister's for Christmas present opening with the nieces before they had to go to their dad's. Presents were fun and I scored over 7000 on my first try at 'Just Dance' on the Wii, which apparently is tricky to do, so go me. Afterwards sister #4 and I headed back to the parents' with them while #2 brought the nieces to their dad's. We got dinner going and hung out, then opened stockings and some presents then had a nice dinner of Steak In a Bag, Auntie Elaine's Twice Baked Potatoes, Auntie Eva's Sherried Mushrooms, and so much other sundry stuff that we all ended up passing on dessert.
Finally headed home around 8:30 and crashed hard.
We'll have the rest of Christmas maybe tomorrow night to open the girl's presents and the last of ours. Hopefully that will also be relatively stress free.
