One of my hugest word mistake pet peeves ever is the frequency with which people use the word 'lead' when they should be using 'led'. Lately it seems to be suddenly misused everywhere!
Some of my very favorite authors do it repeatedly and it just makes me crazy!
For those who doubt, check it out yourselves. Please note the past tense form of lead (leed) is listed as led.
