For those of you who were wondering, I did have a much better night tonight. My niece/goddaughter's First Communion and post-First Communion brunch went well, I got my laundry done (well, enough to hold me for the week anyway), and went up to Cu Na Mara to sing tonight. I had a lovely time - though we were all pretty exhausted and therefore punchy - and got several nice compliments on my singing - including the session head telling his wife not to sing, "...'cause well, you and Mai are both sort of humming under your breath on either side of me and it confuses my brain so only one of you should be singing and it should be her." He didn't quite tell her that he'd rather hear me sing, but it was pretty damn close. (I just put my head down and pretended I wasn't there - don't need to cause any trouble, ya know - and was quietly amused.)

Anyhow, it was a pleasant evening and I got there and back without needing to resort to smashed in taxis so all is good. And now I'm off to bed 'cause tomorrow I have to work and then babysit for my nieces. :)
