I know it's been forever, but things here have been a little nuts and a series of nasty little panic attacks pretty much debilitated me during my free time.
But I'm feeling much better now. My finances were tight, but okay, however, they were the weakest link and the area my panic attacks chose to focus on. So, I consolidated some debt and advertised for a roommate. Just today the woman I'd hoped would move in called and said she would, so I feel a huge load off of everything. She's paying less a month than I'd hoped to find, but she works 50-60 hours a week and spends most nights at her boyfriend's (and doesn't have a computer or any need to share my office) so my life will change very little and I'll be getting a chunk of extra cash in. Sort of the ideal situation for me. :) And she works for the same agency I do - caring for troubled kids - and seems quiet and nice and very pleasant. So I'm thrilled!
It will let me build up a nice little cushion and have extra for things like Christmas and a few extras now and again for myself without wondering what basics I'll have to cut to manage the treat. It will just be very nice.
I've also been asked to be part of an semi-interactive dinner theatre (and was told by the producer that she was using my name to entice the other actors she wanted - what a nice compliment! - and one of my dear friends just agreed to replace a woman who dropped out - largely she says because she didn't want to pass up the opportunity to work with me, so sweet!). It's basically a spoof of The Sopranos - called "The Altos". I get to play Tony Alto's crazy mother. And if they get the ASCAP royalties sorted out I'll have a solo - singing "Shaddup You Face!". Should be very funny.
Also, working on some lovely smutty stories - one SVU, one for Wanted - and quite happy about them (especially since lj user="MiladyGrey"> is writing additional smut for me based on my stories!)
Okay, should think about heading off to bed soon. Just wanted to check in. *Hugs to all my flist*
