maisfeekaWent out and voted. 'Course, I had to wait till they discharged me from the ER, but I voted! I was starting to get a little worried. They were acting as if they thought I had huge gallstones and would need to have them dealt with right away (ultrasound turned up negative so we're back to, "Uh.. I dunno..." for a diagnosis) and all I could think of was "I gotta go vote! I HAVE to VOTE!!!!" I figured with my luck they'd come back, wisk me into surgery and I'd be incapacitated till 9:15 - just long enough to miss the whole election here. Sigh...
But they let me go and I went and gladly voted my little heart out - Kerry, of course - and now all I can do is keep my fingers crossed that enough of the - well, I think they're more anti-Bush than pro-Kerry - people get out and vote today. I can't imagine 4 more years of senseless war, further alienation from all of the other nations who used to be our allies, trillions of more dollars in debt, attempts to use the Constitution as a means to STRIP rights from Americans, etc, etc .... It's just too frightening.
Oh well. Anyhow, I'm off to crash - and get something soothing to eat. Haven't been able to eat since 4 yesterday afternoon 'cause of the ultrasound and possible need for surgery. (And the last thing I had to drink was a cup of tea at 9 last night!)
