Note to self...
Jul. 15th, 2005 01:37 pmDo not post a first story to a new fandom on the same night that you audition for a play.
Insecurities do not just double, they seem to grow exponentially.
Bleah.
ETA: Just got a call from the director. He cast me as Phyllis. Yay! It's a small part, but fun. Actually, he'd planned to have the same person play Phyllis and two other parts (as the play was done on Broadway), but he said he just couldn't pass me up. Very sweet to hear.
Now if someone would just read my story... ;)

Date: 2005-07-15 12:27 pm (UTC)And not to worry about the feedback. :) It's a light *way* pre-show piece about how Elliot ended up with a butterfly tattoo in a very um...*sensitive* place. ;) More an excuse for light smut/romance than a show piece. And since it's not Alex/Olivia or Elliot/Olivia I knew it wouldn't be read by many, so... But I like it and that's the big thing! :)

Break a leg!

Date: 2005-07-15 07:14 pm (UTC)Don't let the reviews to your first fic get you down. SVU hads got a pretty tough following... They're picky. XD
Just keep on writing!

Date: 2005-07-15 10:40 pm (UTC)And I'm not worried about the reviews. :) I'm used to writing non-popular pairings which get little notice. And I wrote for the Alias fandom at the beginning back when they were a really tough crowd - before the teeny-boppers got involved. ;)
Not sure if I have more to write here - this was kind of a challenge from a friend who's familiar with my writing in other areas. I figured it came out decently enough and she wanted me to share so I did. I usually like to have been watching a show more than a few weeks before I jump in, but... Oh well. :) It was fun!
And thanks again, I truly appreciate it!
