End of "vacation"!

maisfeekaWell, my vacation week has whizzed by. The first weekend was devoted to my play, which went over well - but I'm glad it's over! Rested a good part of the day Saturday as my RA and FM are in a bit of a flare-up due to lack of rest and too much stress. Stayed out till almost 3 AM Sunday morning for the after party. I am not a young thing anymore and this was *bad*. (But lots of fun!)
Monday I was comatose (and caught up on a little of my taped TV viewing).
Tuesday I spent the midday with Sue and the evening with Susan (my family complains that all of my friends have the same names and it's too confusing to try to keep up!) It was a fun day, but busy!
Wednesday I spent with my friend, Joanne, (as opposed to my boss, Joanne, or my niece, Joanne) then picked up my 8-year-old niece Danielle for a sleepover. We got to bed late and woke up early. Spent some time watching Lilo and Stitch then went to my parents' house to meet with the rest of my family as my sister, Jennifer, her husband, Jeff, and their 17 month old, Jocelyn, had finally arrived from California for their weekend visit.
The rest of the time was a whirlwind of activity at my parents' house - playing with the four nieces, doing dinners, catching up, etc. More family arrived to visit and see Jocelyn on Saturday (grandma, 2 aunts, 2 uncles, and a few "friends" who are really considered part of our family).
This morning I got up early and went to work to finish up some reports that are due Monday morning. Found a note from my boss asking where they were. Sigh... If she'd wanted them before tomorrow morning she should have said so and I would have done them earlier. I get my stuff in on time without fail, but I do often wait till the day before to finish them up. 16 years and I've never missed a due date, been late, or asked for an extension of any kind - not for any report, IEP, report card, evaluation, *nothing*! You'd think she'd have more faith. ;)
Then back to the parents' to say goodbye to the aunt and uncle and later to my sister and family as they headed back home. Watched my other sister's kids till she got back around 2 and now I'm home! Phew! I need a vacation from my vacation!
Now to put my feet up and relax a bit, watch the last show I have taped, and maybe take a little nap. Then a nice dinner, a shower, and early to bed for me! Back to school/work tomorrow!
