Nov. 10th, 2004 05:05 pmSo, since the ulrasound showed gallstones afterall...
(They must have had some sort of mix-up last Tuesday, 'cause the report the radiologist sent to my nurse practitioner - who *is* the best doctor-type in the *world*! - said definitely gallstones and sludge - such an attractive word for something lurking inside your body.)
Anyway, I'm seeing a surgeon tomorrow about having the lovely little gallbladder removed - both mom and I agree that tomorrow afternoon would be just fine with us - and after that I should know more about what all the plan is. I work best in stressful situations with a *plan*. My rheumatologist seemed pleased that I was seeing this particular surgeon and said I'd like him, so... That sounds promising. I'd just really, really, like this over and done with.
If I sleep through the night tonight with no pain I beat my almost 3 month record of 5 nights. How long can I manage without another episode? This is the $64,000,000 question. And the reason I want this DONE!!
Okay, enough nervous rambling. I'm off to eat something, watch the ep of Charmed I taped Sunday, and watch Lost and maybe the West Wing. I'll try to be responsible and drop an update tomorrow about The Plan once I know what it is. ;)
