Sis update
Aug. 19th, 2005 09:07 pmThe judge slapped down Sis #3's husband and his lawyer. His lawyer told the judge he believed the child was in grave danger and went on to explain that Sis #3 has had some depressive issues and is now on a great deal of dangerous medication. The judge looked down at the paperwork, said, "Okay, I've got a list of what she's on here and I'm familiar with all of it and it's all pretty standard stuff, what's the rest of it that puts the child in grave danger?"
And they had nothing else.
The judge was not pleased.
He did set visitation for them - much less than (ex)hubby had asked for and slightly less than Sis #3 had offered, just in a slightly different configuration. Sis #3 is happy with it and (ex)hubby seems to be and has gone back to being the helpful semi-remorseful guy he was when this thing first started. He went down and paid her hotel bill, he's hired a moving company to move her to the condo tomorrow, (one of the two girls who was living there has already moved out and the other said that if Sis #3 would cut her a break on this month's rent she was more than willing to let Sis #3 move in early) he's still planning to buy her a sofa, dining room set, TV and DVD player since she had to get rid of hers when they moved in together...
So, everything is much better overall - we'll see how long it stays this way, but at least there's some hope. The visitation was the only thing they'd had any issue over, so...
And in other news... Didn't get cast in The Boys Next Door. The director was very nice, said this was the first time he'd actually had real *choices* about who to cast and that I had definitely been in the running and in the end they'd gone with physicality to make the last decisions. He also said I'd done a great audition and that he was keeping my contact info because he'd seen my work and really wanted to work with me and that I was "definitely someone he'd be keeping tabs on." So, that's something at least. Maybe I'll audition for 'night, Mother next week, then... We'll see.
Thanks everyone for all their support and good wishes. *HUGS*
