I know, I haven't posted in forever. Life's been... interesting.
But things have been going really well, all things considered.
1) Got a roommate. For real. Like she's already moved almost all of her stuff in and she'll be starting to stay here end of the first week in January. And I really like her.
2) The Altos was a smash success and will be repeated in February or March. Also, now considered a member of the "Acting Troupe" for the Nashua Theater Guild dinner theaters. And the guy in charge wanted to know if I could sing a "legit" song (as opposed to Giuseppe's "Shadduppa You Face"), which I demonstrated and he says he has a cool part in mind for me for one of the new shows.
3) Got cast in "Lanterns on Lamar" for the Susan McIntyre New Playwright's Festival that Yellow Taxi Productions, the pro theatre company I work with sometimes, is holding. I get to play "a bible thumping Elvis lover". Should be cool.
4) Got asked to play the mother in "For the Pleasure of Seeing Her Again" - a 2 person show (almost a one woman show from what I heard) which Yellow Taxi Productions (yes, the pro theatre company again) wants to do over Mother's Day weekend. The head of YT emailed me because she knows I "get booked up quickly". They've applied for the rights and the venue and should all go well I'll have a nice showcase piece (her words) to do in May. Hee!
5) Did not audition for any of the above parts I'll be doing. ;)
6) There is no six. Well, there probably is, but I can't think any more today. ;)
Anyhow... Happy Holidays in case I get sidetracked again before the actual day. Much love to you all!
